Receiving Promised Spiritual Blessings
Acts 2:14-21
 

How do we receive God’s promised spiritual blessings?
Are you living large, or largely just living the Christian life?
(Eph 1:18-19; Phil 4:7; 2 Peter 1:2-8)
Repentance and faith (Joel 2:12-14; Acts 3:19; 20:20-21; 2:38)
God is willing to dwell with a humble and obedient people. (1 Peter 5:6; Isa 57:15)

Context of Joel
God will chasten those he loves and He will vindicate His name among the nations.

The Spirit will be given abundantly
Like a downpour (v 28 and 29)
Signs of the abundance of the Spirits presence. (Number 12:6)
Revelation is now full and finally given (Heb 1:1-2; Eph 2:20; Rev 21:14)

The Spirit will be given universally
Adult Jewish Males interesting prayer
Spirit given to all (Col 3:11; Gal 3:28)
Should there be prejudice in the church? (Of any kind)

God will show wonders in the heavens and the earth
What are wonders, and signs?
When are these signs?
When are the last days?

The Spirit will be given to those who call on the name of the Lord


The Spirit has been given in a fullness not known before.
The Spirit has been given to everyone in the church.
The Spirit comes to all who call on his name.
