Missions

Reformation Christian Ministries:

The Rev. Richard Knodel, after nearly thirty-three years in the pastorate has resigned and has decided to become a missionary with Reformation Christian Ministries.

After resigning his pastorate in 2005 he spent five weeks in Scotland at the invitation of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Scotland in Ardrie (Beth Bogue’s church).

Dick and his wife Susan were interviewed and approved by the RCM board. A ministry plan has been set out which will enable the Knodel’s to assist churches committed to the Reformation of Scotland, England, France and Russia. Their home base will be Ardrie, Scotland where they will live and worship. Dick will also be part of the growing RITS team in the UK, with the aim of providing pastoral training in the UK in conjunction with Dr. Stephan Westcott in England and Dr. David Murray in Scotland and Dr. Mickael Berreby in France.

His services have also been offered to the Reformed Seminary of St. Petersburg and will also be available to the Evangelical Union of Reformed Churches for summer courses in Tver, Russia, and in the next few years to their theological school in Omsk, Siberia as well as in Moscow.

The objective of all this is reformation through the Gospel – applied to every area of life.

Dick will assist them in raising up a generation of well trained pastors. The Knodel’s are an answer to many years of prayers on behalf of RCM. “Turn us back to You, O Lord, as we will be restored; renew our days as of old.”

Prayer Chain Requests

Feb. 21:             Kermit Best is home from the hospital and doing better. The doctors are not sure what caused the extreme sickness, sweating and nausea that he experienced. It may just be an extreme case of the flu. Continue to pray for Kermit’s complete recovery.

Feb. 21:             Thank you from Kermit Best: Thanks to all for y our prayers and calls. I feel a bit fuzzy but am able to enjoy some chicken soup. I have a follow up call with my doctor for Wed, but I suspect a virus. Thanks again.

Feb. 24:             Kermit Best went to the doctor and he has an inner ear infection.

Feb. 24:             Karla Richards requests prayer for a co-worker’s 15 year old granddaughter (Lauren) who was recently diagnosed with two rare types of leukemia. She was born with spina-bifida and is wheel chair bound). She is undergoing chemo and needs a bone marrow transplant. There is no match in the family.

Feb. 28:             Karla Richard’s friend, Lauren, is in remission. Praise God for answering prayer. She still needs a bone marrow transplant so continue to hold her up in prayer.

March 11:         Please pray for Marianne Sevcik’s mother. The cancer has spread through out her body. The doctors have determined that the cancer is terminal and expect her to live only a short time. Marianne flew to Florida on Friday to be with her mother. She will be there until March 22, If you would like to send Marianne a note of encouragement Avone B. can give you her address in Florida.

March 13:         Please pray for Andy Bogue as he has bronchitis. He went to the doctor today and was put on antibiotics. Please pray for his quick recovery.

March 17:         Please pray for Sue Caler as George had to bring her to the emergency room. The doctors admitted her into Barberton Hospital. They have done lots of tests, but do not have any results back yet. Sue is resting comfortably. Please uphold her in prayer.
