From Faith to Faith
November 2005 VOL. XXI No. 11
Senior Pastor: Dr. Carl W. Bogue
Assistant Pastors: Rev. Bruce Buchanan & Rev. James Kobb
Beginning Nov. 6th for three Sundays in November the deacons will hold their annual “holiday food drive”. A box will be placed in the vestibule for you to place your canned goods and non-perishable food items. The food collected will go to needs within our own congregation and any surplus may be given to local food banks. Anyone wishing to make a cash donation rather than food may do so...please see Deacon Carl Childers. The last day for the food collection box will be November 20th.
The November WIC Meeting will be held Saturday, Nov.12th. This meeting is slightly different than in the past.
✦WIC Officers (Officers Only) meeting 8:30 a.m.
✦WIC Meeting for all ladies 9:00 a.m. (We will vote on and install officers for next year at the meeting), Pie Exchange 9:30 a.m.
If you like to bake, bring a pie to share with the other ladies. Any kind of pie. Fruit, cream, quiche, breakfast, ice cream or any kind of pie you like! Don’t forget to bring a copy of your recipe to share. There will be NO breakfast before this meeting as we will be doing plenty of sampling!
This will be the last WIC meeting of 2005. The officers of WIC would like to encourage all ladies of Faith Church, members and regular attenders to come to this meeting. Several changes have been implemented in the way the meetings are held. Come see what we’re all about and for a good time of fellowship, spiritual food and good pie!

Missionary Updates
Reformation Christian Ministries – Italy:
Dr. Franco Maggiotto has been told by his doctors that his leukemia cells are now completely gone. Please continue to pray for his full recovery and for his wife, Aurora, who has been caring for him at home.
Egypt: (Due to the danger involved, this missionary that we financially support will remain nameless in this article to protect him and his family. Anyone wanting more information on his name should see Fern Richards).
There is rioting in the city of Alexandria. It started at a Coptic Orthodox church and has now spread throughout the city in attacks on church buildings, Christian institutions, a school, a Christian hospital, and shops and homes of Christians. Prayer is requested for this serious situation. Please pray that government, security, and church leaders would be given wisdom in bringing this crisis to a peaceful end and that no innocent people would be hurt in any way, regardless of their religious affiliation. Also, please pray that God’s people would conduct themselves in a way worthy of the gospel and that God’s name would be glorified.
As we remember our heritage and the brave men and women who came to our shores many years ago, let us remember to praise our Lord who providentially watched over them, as He does us today. It is from our Lord that all our blessings come!
