There is a sign up sheet on the vestibule table. Signing up is not mandatory for attendance, however, it will help the ladies who are setting up to know how many to plan on.

WIC will provide the salads, desserts, drinks and tablewear. All ladies are asked to bring a dish or casserole to share. Tickets are NOT being sold as previously announced.

Following dinner, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the program will begin in the sanctuary. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to contact WIC President Kelly Rastetter.

Buchanan Update

April 2nd Bruce Buchanan met with the Candidates Committee of presbytery and was approved to be brought to the whole presbytery April 29 and 30, 2005 for his ordination exam. Be in prayer for the Buchanans as they have many things ahead of them.

We praise God that housing has been secured near the church. Mrs. Buchanan (Donna) is due to give birth to their fourth child about the same time that presbytery meets. Sometime after that, as the baby and mother are able to travel, they will be moving to Akron and getting set up to begin their time with us.

Pray that God will oversee all the details. Looking ahead, if the presbytery exam goes as hoped, Bruce’s ordination will be scheduled shortly after their move is completed.

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner and we are beginning the planning process now. Vacation Bible School is August 1-5 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The closing program (parents invited) is Friday, August 5th from 12:30-1:00 p.m.

We need teachers and helpers to volunteer their time and love in sharing the gospel. Our VBS is a fun time in the Word of God and our focus is always the Bible and one of our missionaries. If you haven’t been involved in VBS in the past or if you have taken a break for a few years, this y ear would be an excellent time to rejoin the staff! We can use full time (all five day) helpers or just one day helpers.

May 1             Initial planning meeting. Anyone interested in seeing what VBS is all about should come to the fellowship room immediately following

                       morning worship.

June 5:              Second and more detailed meeting following morning worship in the fellowship room.

June 6:              Craft meeting for the craft team at church at 3:00 p.m.

July 17:             Third meeting to finalize plans in fellowship room following morning worship.

July 30:             Prop work day at the church 9:00 a.m. to noon. Everyone of Faith Church is invited to come help set up for VBS.
