New Bible Study Opportunities

On the first Sunday of every month, beginning January 2, 2005 there will be a general Bible study that will meet after the morning worship service. This Bible study is open to all members of the congregation and their children. Those who wish to participate should bring a covered dish so that we may eat together before the study begins. The course of study will either be in the area of biblical theology or systematic theology. We will choose one of these options during our first meeting.

On the fourth Saturday of every month, beginning January 22, 2005, at 7:30 a.m. there will be a men’s breakfast at the church followed by a time of Bible study. All the men in the congregation and their sons are invited. We already have a couple of volunteers to do the cooking for us. The course of study will be decided upon at the first meeting.

MISSIONARY NEWS

Reformation Christian Ministries (Italy): Dr. Franco Maggiotto requests earnest prayer for a much needed building to house priests who are persecuted for seeking Biblical truth and worship.

Reformed Ministries International (Spain): Jack and Sherri Campbell and family are currently in the U.S. We welcomed them to our congregation to share the news of their work in Spain and to hear Jack preach on December 26th. Pray for an increase in their financial support, for good health, and for safety in traveling.

Mission to the World (a country in Europe): Please consider whether your family could host a young man or woman from a country in Europe for a few months. G. J. knows that living with a Christian family is a spiritual “eye-opener”. One family from Huntsville, AL has already volunteered to host a boy named Dennis.Linda Johnson could use some short term help

homeschooling the Johnson children. Gary is also praying for a US ruling elder to help govern their church-plants.

Thank You

Deborah and I would like to thank the congregation for the wonderful reception given for us the first Sunday back after our wedding in Arizona. We had a beautiful wedding, a joyous time with family and friends, and a perfect honeymoon. Deb is even surviving the winter welcome and getting adjusted to her new home.

The reception made a grand beginning for us in our new life together with the congregation. The dinner, as always, was great, but the cake and the decorations were above and beyond, making the whole occasion very special. Thanks again for your love, faithfulness, and encouragement to us.

                                                                        Carl and Deborah
