February Newsletter

This months MESS activities started on the eighth with the Snow Camp in Pennsylvania. Me (Caleb), Regan, Bethany and Jason all went.
It was in my opinion a very fun time, it was good to see a whole bunch of other Presbyterian kids all with the same views and likes and dislikes as us. We played a bunch of games, heard talks from a pastor that actually knew pastor Bogue, ate some well not so good food truthfully, but with all the friends that we made it was totally worth the weekend of starvation that I under went.
Those of us that went want to make sure more people come next year, they had people for all ages and if our youth group went as a group we'd totally have a amazing time so indeedly mark your calendars.
……………………………………..
The next MESS activity was on the 14th it was valentines day so it was themed around that, we had to bring a list of ten things we were looking for in a spouse.
When we all got there, it was a decent sized group I think we had four visitors which I believe was a record for us, anyhow when we all got there we turned in our list and the wonderful Mrs. Scholten compiled our list into a list of ten things that we as a gender group were looking for in a spouse then we had to guess what the other gender group had on there list, the list were pretty similar surprisingly but unfortunately…the boys lost,
The girls won bragging rights and the us boys were left trying to unravel the females psyche.
Then we played another game it was a type of family feud game.We were given a common or not so common knowledge question of the bible, we split into four teams and our fearless leader went around asking us when two teams went against each other fearless leader would hold out a wallet and the first one to grab it won the right to answer.
I’m not certain whose team won but they DID and we started into the lesson.
The lesson wasn’t very long as the games had taken alot of our time, but it centered around spouses and going in the path God has laid out for us, over all a great lesson,
We went right into snacks after that, soon after wards we all took off for home.
……………
On the twenty second most of MESS met at Malone college for a Indelible Grace concert we all sat in the front row, we I believe can be proud to say we were the only people there enjoying ourselves we stood while the sat, we clapped while they stayed silent, and someone I believe it was Karli tried to get us to do the wave but we figured it would look silly just our youth group doing it.
The music was very good and actually had a pretty good reformed message, afterwards a group of us went over to the Best house to drink hot chocolate and look at Mr. Best totally cool collection of watches, at around eleven we left there very beautiful house and all went home.

February in general was a great month for MESS.
Thanks to our Fearless Leader, The Bests
