Pastor Mark Scholten graduated from Hope College
(Holland, MI) in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in
Religion. He also studied at the Oregon Extenstion
and at L'arbi in Switzerland. He received an M.Div.
from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson, MS) in
1992. He served the Christian Reformation Church in
Grand Rapids, MI from 1992 to 1997. He then
ministered at the Presbyterian Church of Manchester
(PCA) in Manchester, CT from June 1997 to July 2007.
During his ministry there he oversaw the planting of a
daughter church that is now independent. He also
facilitated the move into a new church building and
helped start a classical Christian school, being
actively involved with the school board. Mark is
happily married to Kathy and they have been blessed
with 5 children: Sarah, Rachel, Jason,
Bethany, and Matthew.
